A CALL TO FILIPINO ATHLETES!
This is Toni Faye Tan, volleyball player, sports enthusiast and youth sports advocate. I have always wanted to promote youth sports and build an organization not only to enhance Filipino children’s sports skills, but most especially to instill good values into their lives like motivation, discipline, determination, goal-setting, and a whole lot more that sports can offer. I intend to convey this message to all Filipino athletes and share my story. I sincerely believe that we, Filipino athletes, can make a change in our society.
To my fellow athletes, I dare you to make a change. I personally wanted to be a coach and organize an organization to promote this. But I realize that I can act now. We can act now. As we grow old, we wouldn't want our skills and knowledge die into waste. We can share it in our everyday lives. Kids idolizes us and look up to us. Specially now that media has become a key player in Philippine sports' success. Kids get inspiration from watching games in tv. I truly and sincerely believe that Filipino athletes can make a change in our society. We have nothing to lose. Let's pay it forward!
HONORING THE GAME
There is a reason why sports is celebrated world wide. Sports is recognized as a strong commitment of physicality and mentality. To be a great and effective athlete, one should understand the deeper level of sports, and that is honoring the game. The whole concept of sports is something to be wholly respected because of what it continuously brings to the table. That is why in sports competition, when all physical tests and measures are done, athletes are only left with pure joy with themselves, respect for one another, and love for the game. Not only does this result in strong athletes, but more importantly it results in shaping these athletes into better people for the society. Sports can definitely do wonders inside and outside the playing court or field and this is why sports is constantly celebrated world wide.

GIVING BACK
It is true when they say that the moment you start sharing and giving back the things that make you happy, you feel a sense of achievement. Always remember that we are created to interact with different kinds of people. The cycle of giving and receiving is what makes of great sports achievement stories. Make every encounter worth while by touching your co-athletes with kindness and courage to what they do best. No matter how little or great the effect is on them, the thought of giving back is what always counts.

Confidence Comes From Within
The kind of confidence which come from within is the most powerful tool that an athlete can use in his sports journey. Some athletes believe that they do not have the the ability and potential to be a really good player. The truth is, they just don't have the confidence in their own skills and technique. As an athlete, it is your responsibility to find and gain greater mental and physical confidence in your sport.
